How to make a Bangla QR code

  1. Get your merchant identifier (and any acquirer identifier) from your bank or payment provider. These are issued to you, not chosen.
  2. Enter the merchant name (up to 25 characters) and city (up to 15), as you want the payer to see them.
  3. Add an amount only if the code is for one fixed price. Leave it empty for a reusable code where the payer types the amount.
  4. Download the code, then make a small real payment to it and confirm it arrives in the right account before you print.

The merchant identifiers in a Bangla QR are issued by your provider, and whether a particular app accepts a code you built yourself depends on them. What the code contains

The payload follows the EMVCo merchant-presented layout: a format indicator, your merchant account, the currency code for BDT (050), the country code BD, your name and city, an optional amount and reference, and a CRC-16 checksum so a scanner can detect a damaged code.

Fixed amount or any amount

With no amount, the code is reusable and the payer enters what they owe. With an amount, the code is marked as a single-purpose payment for that exact sum, which suits an invoice or a menu item.

Why a wrong identifier is dangerous

A code with a guessed or mistyped merchant identifier can send money to someone else. The tool cannot know which identifier is yours, so it shows a standing reminder to confirm the values with your provider.

No. It is a generic Bangla QR payload built from the values you enter. If your provider issued you a code, that official code is the safe choice.

Which apps will accept it?

Apps that read the standard format will decode it, but whether they accept the payment depends on the identifiers your provider assigned. Test with a small payment before relying on it.
