How to make a vCard QR code
- Enter a name, or a company if the card is for a business.
- Add phone numbers with the country code, for example +8801700000000, so the number works from abroad.
- Add the email, website and job title you want people to have. Skip anything you do not need.
- Download the code, print a test card, and scan it with an iPhone and an Android phone.
Keep it short for a business card
Every extra field makes the code denser, and a dense code needs more space to print reliably. The generator tells you the smallest print size that scanned in its test. For a business card, a name, mobile number, email, company and website is usually plenty.
What is stored in the code
The code holds a plain-text vCard 3.0 record, the contact format read by the contacts apps on iPhone and Android and by Outlook. There is no link and no server, so you can see exactly what you are sharing.
A static code is fixed
If your number or email changes, the printed code still shows the old one. For details that change often, consider a Link code that points to a page you control and can update, and keep the vCard for details that stay put.

Yes. Current camera apps recognise a vCard and offer to add the contact. The exact wording of the prompt varies by phone.
Can I put my photo in a vCard QR code?
No, because a photo would make the code far too dense to scan. You can add a small logo to the code image itself from the Logo tab.
Can I edit the contact details after printing?
No. Static codes cannot be edited. Generate a new one and reprint.
Is my contact information uploaded?
No. The code is built in your browser and nothing you type leaves your device.
