How to make a WhatsApp QR code
- Choose the country code and enter your WhatsApp number. A leading zero is removed for you.
- Optionally write a message, such as "Hi, I would like to place an order". The customer can edit it before sending.
- Download the code and scan it with a phone to confirm it opens the right chat.
How the code works
It contains a standard wa.me chat link with your number in international format. Scanning it opens a chat with you in WhatsApp, or a page that offers to install WhatsApp or continue on the web.
Pre-filled messages
A pre-filled message saves your customer typing and helps you recognise where an enquiry came from, for example one message for a shop window and another for a flyer. Because the code is static, a different message means a different code.
Personal and business numbers
The same link works for a WhatsApp Business number. Anyone who scans the code can see the number, so use a number you are happy to share publicly.

Can I change the message later?
Not on a printed code. Static codes cannot be edited, so create a new one and reprint.
